Courtesy of raven_laughing Not quite sure how accurate it is, but I can certainly agree with parts of it. Winter Wickedness is coming up in February and I'm looking forward to it. Glad we got the tickets though, they don't have a lot left. In other news, I'm sick again and had to miss Hanukkah services tonight hopefully I can go to something tomorrow. Next week for certain. I have to go put the tree up for Mom on Sunday. Should be fun, haven't seen the parents in a week or two. I'm getting my old computer fixed up for them which means I'm going to be their permanent tech support help line. :)

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Not wanting send anyone off to feed the trolls who commented but, has anyone seen this? And when did "Wired" start covering politics?

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins today. How are you celebrating? If you're not, how do you plan on guiding your fate over the course of the next year?

Heading to Services this evening, either at 6:30 or 8:00. Not sure which one though. This will be my first High Holy Days and I'm pretty excited about it. More to come later in the week. Hopefully I'll have time to reflect and post. :)

I've begun to start exploring a few things that I've been interested in since '97 or so. And since it's stuff that some people might not be interested in reading, I'll be putting it behind LJ cuts. :o)

In other news, test results show that I'm a diabetic and have been put on medication. And while it is not the end of the world, it still forces me to make changes that I'm not excited to make. I have to remind myself that others have it far worse than I. Next up is a diabetic diet and diabetic classes.

Time to go back to work, I'll write again later.

So the apartment is officially cleaner than it has been in awhile. And while it's not spotless (as if it'll ever get to that point) I do feel better about having people over now that it's clean. The cat however, does not appear to like change and misses his boxes and bags to hide in.
Laundry was done on Sunday since I had no power in my apartment and hung out with my parents all day. Yay for free laundry! Although I would like the two hours of my life that I lost by watching the Browns' game. Seriously, wtf was that?!

I've decided that I'm going to give a diet an actual, honest try. Which means no more baking when I'm bored/feeling down. The doctor has recommended 30 grams or less of fat a day to start which I promptly blew by eating at McDonald's for breakfast on Sunday. :o(

I need to play more WoW. I have alts sitting at random levels, but seem to get bored or distracted easily. I'm looking for a leveling buddy as I seem to stick to playing a character when I have one. Also the beta is very cool, I think I'm going to work on my Death Knight next week. Of course, this sort of throws a kink in the whole "get out of the house" plan. :-P

nerd.
So I ran into my cousin in Dublin who had an extra ticket for the field, which meant that I was pretty close and got quite a few good pictures. If you'd like to see them they're on my facebook page and can be found here: http://www.new.facebook.com/home.php#/album.php?aid=2220472&id=23303942

So very glad it's the weekend. And a three day one at that. Actually got out of the apartment yesterday and went to my book club meeting at Liquid which was a lot of fun. I may or may not go to the White party on Sunday there, but did make tentative plans for gallery hop.

Obama and Biden will be in Dublin and I think I'm going. Does McCain's vp pick mean that he'll have to change his "no experience ads" he's running?

It's been awhile since I've written and it has been a busy couple of weeks. I've been meeting with the Rabbi and tentative range of dates to finish everything up. October 19th - November 4th are the possible dates so we'll see what happens. Also have an invite to join the choir though I don't know how much time I'll have. In other news, I was up at Kent this past weekend and it was good to see everyone and I'm looking forward Homecoming.

Lots of stuff to do around the apartment, and just maybe I'll actually get some of it done. :o)
